New to Transit Fares?

Fares are returning July 6, 2026. We offer multiple payment options including cash, mobile apps, credit card payments for Dial-A-Ride, and weekly or monthly passes to make riding as convenient as possible.

Fares & Payment Options

Beginning July 6, 2026, fares will be required for Tuolumne County Transit services.

Bus Fares

Regular Day Pass -  $5

Reduced Day Pass - $3

Regular Weekly Pass -  $17

Reduced Weekly Pass - $10

Regular Monthly Pass - $64

Reduced Monthly Pass - $38

 

Reduced fares are available to:

  • Seniors

  • Veterans

  • Students

  • Medicare cardholders

  • Persons with disabilities

Children under the age of 12 ride free with a fare-paying companion.

Dial-A-Ride Fares

Regular One-Way Trip - $4

Reduced One-Way Trip - $3

How to Pay

Cash on the Bus

Fixed-route riders may pay with cash when boarding.

⚠️ Bus drivers do not carry cash and cannot make change. Please have the exact fare ready.

Pay with Token Transit

📱 Use the Token Transit app to:

  • Purchase bus fares

  • Purchase weekly passes

  • Purchase monthly passes

  • Show your fare or pass directly from your phone

Do I need both apps?

Only if you use both services.

  • Use Token Transit for fixed-route bus fares and passes.

  • Use Via for Dial-A-Ride reservations and payments.​

 

Can I pay cash for Dial-A-Ride?

Dial-A-Ride fares may be paid through Via or by credit card when making a reservation by phone.

Can drivers make change?

No. Drivers do not carry cash and cannot make change.

Where can I purchase bus passes?

Passes may be purchased through Token Transit or at the Transit Office.
