COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: Tuolumne County Transit is currently running ROUTE 1, ROUTE 2 and our new Groveland to Columbia route as well as a Public Dial-YOUR-Ride service FREE OF CHARGE! Passengers need to reserve trips by calling into the dispatch center at 209-532-0404. Buses are at full capacity and we continue to encourage passengers to keep wearing masks, though it is no longer mandatory. To make reservations please call the Transit Office at 532-0404.
Have the following information ready:
• Your Name
• Number of Riders in Your Party
• Pick-up Location
• Destination
• Desired Arrival Time
• Is a wheelchair lift is needed
Reservations should be made at least one day in advance.
Same day service may be accommodated on a space available basis only.
We understand that you may be concerned about using public transportation during this time!

Buses are cleaned daily and common areas wiped down repeatedly (hand sanitizer provided on all vehicles)

Tuolumne County Transit is currently running a General Public Dial-a-Ride (think Uber or Lyft in a bus, with slightly longer wait times for us to get to you!)

Masks are suggested and provided free of charge, but are not mandatory

While essential travel only policy is in place, no fares are being collected from passengers (once the travel ban is lifted, rides will $2 general fare, $1 discounted)

Tuolumne County Transit has a Rides For All Program (in partnership with community organizations, social services and local agencies) where free tickets for trips can be secured

Tuolumne County Transit also supports a volunteer driver program (TRIP), where mileage reimbursements can be paid to your driver (see website for more details)
