Tuolumne County Transit Launches Saturday Fixed Route Service: Columbia to Sonora
Starting June 28, 2025, Tuolumne County Transit will offer a new Saturday Fixed Route service from Columbia to Sonora. The route will begin at Columbia State Historic Park and make several stops on its way into Sonora. This service provides free and comfortable transportation for both residents and tourists traveling between Columbia and Sonora. Whether you're heading into Sonora for the day or visiting Columbia for a morning stroll or early lunch, this route makes weekend travel easy and accessible.

On Demand stops are made by calling Tuolumne County Transit ahead of the scheduled stop time (by at least 15 minutes), so the driver can be alerted, 532.0404.

Flag Stops are made by standing in a location along an existing route that the bus can safely stop at.
Flagging an approaching bus involves indicating early and clearly to the driver that you desire the bus to stop.
Flag stops are at the discretion of the driver, taking into consideration the safety of passengers on board.
