Groveland now has public transit!
Tuolumne County Transit is now offering transportation from Groveland to Columbia! Starting August 29, 2022, residents of Groveland can leave the car behind and take advantage of this free service. The route will begin at Mary Laveroni Park at 6:30am and conclude its run at Columbia College by 7:45am. There will be stops in Groveland, Jamestown and Sonora. There will also be three ON-DEMAND stops in Big Oak Flat, Moccasin and Chinese Camp. The return trip will leave Columbia College at 4:00pm, arriving in Groveland by 5:15pm. This route was created after our annual Unmet Transit Needs hearing in December 2021. There was a great concern about the need for transportation from Groveland to Columbia College. Groveland has residents that would like to attend in person classes but simply can't due to the lack in transportation. This new route will help alleviate that concern while also providing transportation to the folks that just want to have a ride into Sonora for shopping, appointments, etc. To see the schedule click on the link below.
